YALL I AM SO HAPPY.....
Oh I have been sooooo busy! This was the FIRST WEEKEND,, IN MONTHS that I was actually RELAXED! wow. what a crazy few weeks. Most of you follow me on twitter so you have been up to date with my every move. For those of you that are not up to date I will do a really fast summary about what went down after my last post.
Mom and I did drive up to Bentonville that last Monday in July. We met with a realtor that showed us a few homes but at one point she said "when are you going home to texas"...which I replied "tomorrow. I have to have a house rented by tomorrow"...she then laughed alittle and said "i don't think you will be going home tomorrow. I don't think we will find you a place by then"....this convo happened while we were driving around that monday afternoon.
20 minutes later the awesome and amazing Amanda Vestal sent me a DM on twitter saying I could rent her house and when did I want to see it. We were in the house within 20 minutes and I was soooo in love with their house. Their house had been on the market for awhile but had not sold. One week before that Monday, her and her husband and decided to rent for 1 year....and guess who needed a home to rent for one year.
ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the house is SOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING! and so fancy for this single girl but yall my stuff and decorations look FABULOUS IN IT!!!!!! OH THE LORD PROVIDES! HE REALLY PROVIDES!!!!
The move went great! My parents, Dixie, and George all helped and I am sooo beyond grateful. It was HOT HOT HOT but everyone kept moving and it just meant the world to me! Dixie and Mom stayed that next week. It was so great to just have girls in the house. They had my house in perfect order by the time they left. I cried when i had to say goodbye. Sometimes it is so good for girls in your family to just get away and be together!
Anyway, I finished my first full week with students last week and survived. This job is sooooooooooooooo different. Everything about my life right now is sooo different. And I can't stop sharing with people how happy I am. I am on my way to being a better teacher, better friend, better everything.
But it is not without some struggle. Within a week of being here, 2 different areas of past strongholds (that I have been set free from) tried to show their ugly, evil little eyes. I instantly knew satan was so very upset that I had continued to follow God this summer and was in a new place that he does not want the Light or Fragrance of God to be. SO I have been really intentionally making sure I have the Armor of God on daily. Especially the shield of faith.....since it helps protect us from temptations. Eph 6:16 says "in this way 'all the flaming arrows of the evil one'- every temptation and distraction that satan may hurl at God's people-can be stopped"...
All of this is just constant reassurance that I am right were God wants me to be. And I can't stop saying how very happy I am!
So, I wanted to show you my new house for the next year and a few pics I have taken with my phone over the last few weeks.....hope you enjoy them.
Me and the very full uhaul truck! ha

MY HOUSE!!!!! oh i just love love love it!!

hallway to laundry room, kitchen, master bedroom, office, and bath....
The kitchen....seriously one of my favorite rooms in the house!!!! I love having my rug in there!
guest bathroom
i made the room next to the master my office. It had been the nursery! This was one room that I wanted to be extra gaudy with all the art and items I have collected with my travels.
old kitchen table became my now desk! It is full with stuff that I love!
including my little olive wood beauty I bought in Bethlehem.
so this summer I was on Pinterest and kept seeing art work covering walls and I knew I wanted to give it a try. I put my mom in charge of the layout and she did such a great job! I have more to add soon and I just love being able to have one room in the house that can just have all kinds of crazy things in it!
my room!!! I love the master bedroom suite!!!
on the other side of the house I have two more rooms and a jack & jill bathroom!!!
this room is pretty small and at the front of the house! This weekend I redid the bedding, bought another mattress for the trundle bed, and made it feel clean and sweet! I love it!
and that is my house!!!! I have so much extra room so come and see me!!!!!! HA!
Below are some random pics. Most of you might not know this but I do not have a classroom this year. I have never had to deal with this but I am finding that it might not be so bad. I pretend like I'm a college prof so that it seems cool hahhahha! Here is my little office area that is sooooo not private in any way. But I am getting more comfortable with that. THIS pic was taken before i had it all organized.
everyone at work is soooo helpful and I have made a few good friends which has made me so happy! I love meeting new people as you all know!
while mom and dixie were here I took them to PF CHANGS for the first time! OH THEY LOVED IT! yum yum
i am soooo gross in this pic with NO MAKEUP but look what we found in walmart! They are soooo serious about the Razorbacks here. I have got to get me a good shirt and baseball cap. I have to fit in with all this hog craziness!
I TURNED 30 last WED!!!!!! I can't believe I didn't even do a post. Well, it was my first week with kids and I was just trying to survive. I'm not really celebrating till family comes up labor day but it was still a good day. I actually love getting older. LOOK AT THIS CARD MY MOM PAINTED FOR ME!!! Oh I got sooo much mail and tweets and emails! It just made my heart explode!
and my parents surprised me by sending flowers to my school! I WAS SOOOO HAPPY TO GET THEM!! I love getting flowers!
My friend Kelly has been sooooooo thoughtful and inviting me to things so that I can get to know people! She will never really know how much it means to me! I love having a busy social calendar hahahhaha!~ This weekend I met up with her, Harper and Hollis so that we could check out the farmers market, splash park, and walking trail.
look at those sweet girls! Hollis wants nothing to do with me but I will win her over as she gets older hahhha! Harper on the other hand is my new bff and I just love playing with her!!!! The girls talks or sings like non-stop! Then when you catcher her singing she will get shy and cover her eyes and it IS THE CUTEST THING EVER!!!! oh and she can sing the heck out of that Barney song! so precious!
the splash park is sooo fun! I loved getting so wet and screaming like a little kid!!!!! Kelly said that in the winter you can go there and ice skate! I CAN'T WAIT!!!
I have been searching super hard for a church home! I feel pressure to find something because so many are starting their women's bible studies soon and I HAVE TO BE IN ONE THIS FALL! I just have to. This was the first summer in YEARS that I could not do a major bible study. I tried but my brain could not handle it with all the stress and stuff. So my soul is currently longing for study, fellowship, and really great afternoons doing the homework and learning stuff!
If you live in the area and love your church....email me and invite me so that I can come check it out! ha! no seriously! I am soooo ready for God to say "girl this is the church I want you to serve in" oh that will make my day!
I have got to get off and go to bed but I just want to thank you all for walking and praying this journey out with me. I can't stop praising Father for all that He has done. I can't stop. I am here and so I now wonder what it is that He will accomplish through me. I can't wait to see!
And yes, I finally feel like I am BACK TO BEING ME and back to enjoying this blog! It's time to start sharing what I have been writing and it's time to start putting my focus back on it!
Anyway, I am rambling...I love each of you. I really do! I hope you have a wonderful week and remember...... "whether we are at home or away, we make it out aim to be pleasing to HIM" 2 cor 5:9
love you!
