Best Weekend!!!

Hi friends!!!! I have been meaning to post the pictures for the last few days but I hadn't found the time to write about my super fun weekend.

Since I moved to Arkansas I have been daydreaming about things I want to do or go see during my weekends. Like the minute the weather turns cool I am heading to Eureka Springs for the day. I have also wanted to spend the day hiking and discovering different parts of NWA.

I was sharing this with my friend Shane and he suggested that we go check out Devil's Den. Of course I was game. Yall know I love an adventure!

so i got up early on Sat and headed over to Shane's house around 8:30. The weather was perfect......overcast and not really hot. We hopped in his truck and started our day of FUN!!!!

I love the mountains! I was so excited to get out and explore. We parked, Shane grabbed a map and then we were on our way!



Shane chose a trail that led us to multiple caves!!!!!! I wanted to go in every single one! It was amazing how the temp dropped when we went inside of them! oh it was glorious and creepy and fun....and i felt like Indiana Jones ha!

so there was this one cave that required some climbing down to get in. Things were kinda slippery and damp. We checked it out for awhile to see if it was safe....

and there may or may not have been a sign like this around......pretty sure I didn't really see one hahahahahhaha because I was determined to climb down into this thing!!!

ha! Shane did bring us head lamps and you all know I love accessories/some kind of costume! ha! these made me laugh and I loved wearing it!

we had such a great time! We are both talkers so we just hiked and talked and hiked and talked! It was so much fun!



Isn't NWA so pretty! I love living here! At one point we were talking so much we got of the trail. We both really wanted to make it to the look out so we hiked MILES MILES MILES hahhaha up hill!!!!! We are so crazy!

but then we got to the top......and it was soooooooo worth it. When relaxed and talked up there for a long time then it was time to start our way down.









WE WERE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRED when we got back to the truck. At this point it was around 2pm and I was so hungry I wanted to eat the truck! I had never been in Fayetteville so Shane drove us in that direction and to a place called Louie's Grill....I WAS CRAVING A BIG FAT BURGER!!!!! and that is just what I got! and we got fried green beans that were soooooooooo amazing!!!

Then we drove to the University of Arkansas Campus!!!! I was so glad to meet it and I can't wait to attend my first Hog game this Sat evening with my parents!!!!!

Shane drove me alllllll over Fayetteville and I have to say.....I just loved it! So many need place to eat and shop. I can't wait to discover it a little closer.

We were having such a great time that we just kept driving to new places in the area. We headed out to part of the lake.....and then to another part of Beaver lake. On the way to the second location, we passed this buffalo and i just FELL IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!! such a crazy looking animal with those tiny little feet. sooo cute!



it was beautiful by the lake and everything was so green!

on the way out we passed back by the buffalo..who was now in the pond with his butt to us & looking back at us....so sassy I just love it! I think I want to see a buffalo up close!



Then we headed back to Shane's house and I headed home. It was such a great day!!!!!!

Sunday, I visited another church and then that evening I headed to CrossChurch Pinnacle Hills to meet up withmy friend Jennifer Francis and attend the GIRLS NIGHT OUT with Mandisa and Anita Renfroe. Oh yall.....it was soooooooo good. I laughed soooo hard, I cried, I danced, I had the very best time talking to Jennifer! She is just sooo funny and doesn't even know it!!!

Mandise was outstanding! Girl can sing and dance! She sang one of her songs about letting go and praising God even when we don't want to sing to Him and even when we don't feel it.


She led us right into "Blessed Be Your Name"......JUST my very personal theme song for this past summer. I could hardly sing because of my tears. "Every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to praise"......what is so amazing to me is that I sang these words when I had no idea what was next for me and i sang it when each little glimmer of hope would roll in, and I sang it when the big puzzle pieces were coming together, and when the puzzle was complete and here I was singing it, in a room full of beautiful voices, but now I am living out that puzzle. It just made me cry and made me fall in love with the Lord all over again. The words are burned on my heart.

Last weekend was one of those that you feel your love tank overflowing when it's all said and done. Shane, Jennifer...thank you sooooo much for hanging out with me!!! It was a blast and I am soooo thankful for you!


I am also excited because my parents are driving up tomorrow for the entire weekend!!!!!! We are celebrating my birthday, going to our first Razorback game, and just enjoying each other as much as possible!!!! I can't wait to see them! I so wish I could take Friday off!! ha! I will have lots of pics to show you after this weekend!
