HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD...Weekend
I had a fun weekend! Super busy but super fun. Saturday was my Dad's birthday. Dixie, George, Mom and Dad all came to stay with me. I love to host things and it is good for me to do it...does that make sense? It feels up my love tank really!ha
Here is the birthday boy! some of the pics below are from my phone so not awesome quality.......

and mom! they came in the afternoon! Mom and I hit the road to go look at houses and even stopped at a few yard sales!

I made Paula Deen's Shrimp Spaghetti and it was also AMAZING! Definitely one of those dishes you want to serve to impress hahahahhaha
As you know, we like to linger around the table. And that we did. For a very long time! I enjoyed having my dining room filled with loud talking and laughter!!! JOY JOY~
Ok about the picture below. I have a house full of decorations but when it comes to the most practical thing I seem to just not have it ha! Like foil...which i now keep in full stock or dish soap....i put EVERYTHING in the dishwasher so I tend to forget to buy more dish soap ha. So mom brought me a new bottle hahahhahaha! Which I LOVED and thought was so funny. If I don't have something I always use the excuse "I haven't registered yet"........you know- you get married and you get all those things you really need in the kitchen. See, I don't have a lot of that hahahhahaha.

it was 11pm before we knew it and we had to go to bed! We were up and gone by 7.15 am to head to Canton!!!!!!!
We had not been there long when we ran into these DARLING GIRLS THAT I USE TO BABY SIT!!!!! Britny, Haley and Jessica. I baby sat Jessica when she was LITTLE BITTY! Oh I just love her. When I was a senior she was starting school and we had our pictures taken together! Now she is driving and going to graduate high school early. I am so proud!!!!!!
IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOO HOT on Saturday. I was sweating EVERYWHERE! We had a great time, ran into some people we knew, and then we headed home! We got so hot our brains just stopped working ha.
I said goodbye to everyone and then crashed on the couch!
Sunday I visited a church and sunday school. The youngest person in the room was about 50. I wanted to cry the minute I was led in. You know when you get that "RUN" feeling...hahhaha that is what i had. They were nice but I left discouraged and mad that there are people my age here but they don't go to church. I'm currently annoyed with my age group.
So I got in the car and started speaking scripture out loud. It's amazing how God will calm your feelings fast when you refuse to hang on to them. Praise HIM!
I then took myself to our DARLING MAIN STREET to check out a few homes from the 1900's that they are redoing and putting on the market. I think the first one is my dream home....i kid you not...here are a few pictures...they are still remodeling..
formal living room

through the hallway to the LARGE FAMILY ROOM and kitchen....

i was so in love i had to capture my excitement ha!
fireplace in the family room
master bath...love the subway tiles and double sinks

I have a deep love for looking at homes. I blame my parents hahahhaha kidding. We all love to drive around looking at homes, going into homes being built..dad and I BOTH love looking at houses for sale online and I HEART HOUSE PLANS. I should have been an architect ha. Anyway, I went home and took a nap.
Then I thought it would be fun to take my bike and ride around town. I already shared this story with my twitter friends but while I was getting my bike out a car drove by kinda slow and a woman waved at me...i think i waved back..i don't remember. Anywho, I had parked on the square and there weren't a lot of people around. It was a beautiful evening. I got ready to ride when the car pulled up again. I looked up and this precious woman yelled my name and told me she reads my blog!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHHAHHHA

I screamed with joy...of course because that is what i do...and went right over to the car. She had her daughter and niece with her and they were from Houston. They were heading home after being at a soccer tournament and decided to pass through W to check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT MADE MY DAY!!!!
I mean, MADE MY DAY..........and then she told me that she had been praying for me and I thought i would just cry!
Can you say DIVINE APPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I rode down main st I was just praising the Lord in song. What a gift of encouragement He had placed before. Started the day discouraged and ended it complete ENCOURAGED! I just love that He does little things that speak to us in BIG WAYS!!!!
Speaking of Divine Appointments......the day before Mom and I walked into a booth looking at the mother/little daughter aprons when the woman running it began telling us her story. Missionary for 10 years, didn't marry till she was 38, future husband pursued her hard core even before she even liked him. By the time she was done she had not only encouraged me in my singleness but I think she encouraged my mom too. IT just filled us up that afternoon!
God is moving all the time. He reminded me of that this weekend. HE IS GOD! He is in control over all..good and evil. Speaking of evil, should your receive an email or comment on your blog that doesn't represent me or the child of God that I am....please delete and ignore. Same goes for twitter. Jesus said "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full......I am the good shepherd". John 10.9-11
I am one of my Father's sheep and I have the gift of not only living fully but having internal life. That is the difference between me and this evil one. Father is GOD over this and I will chose to trust HIM not the world!
I love you! have a wonderful evening!
