At the Lake.....
Oh my.....I am so glad that it is summer time. SO GLAD! I feel like I now have time to really do some things that require my total attention. Even decided to turn off my Direct Tv. Had it a year and it was such a waste of money for me. I just don't watch that much tv. I am really excited because all my best summers of growth and deep bible study came while I only had the few local channels. I am excited to not have the tv distraction for the next few months...plus it doesn't hurt that I am going to say $900 this next year. WOW!
I have so much to say. My heart is currently being pulled in a few different areas but I need to get these pictures up first. Plus I am just not in the typing mood this week. It was like pulling teeth to get this post up. I think it is the "so glad the school year is over and I am super tired" thing hahahhaha. Nothing a little rest can't take care of.
I had a great time at the lake. I always do. It feels like home to me. I enjoyed listening to my Beth Moore audio cd's on the drive up and singing along super loud to Shane and Shane's cd "Psalms"....one of my very favorites! Greers Ferry Lake is JUST BEAUTIFUL! We had several days of just laying out, riding around on the boat, me riding my bike around and down to the local camp grounds, grilled food and long talks...........here are a few pics

side note........ driving up on Thursday I went through a BIG TIME storm heading to Conway, AR and pretty much until I hit Bee Branch area. I'm talking hail, HIGH WINDS, and rain coming down so hard I could no longer see the white OR yellow lines. Crazy. Well the next morning we got word that the storm hit a boat marina on the lake....I have never seen anything like this........

boats upside down

We always bring our lunch on the boat. I love that. We find a cove or shaded area and park for awhile. Here is mom and aunt chris swimming! they are cute!

My Daddy Bob...

Cousin Melissa and Taylor came up for the weekend with a few friends and Dustin-Melissa's soon to me husband in 6 weeks. This is Dustin's boat.

I did not take that many pictures. It was a fast trip and I just was up there to relax. This is the only good pic of Melissa and I and it is really blurry.

her crazy brother Taylor!! ha

Dad and Dustin played for hours on the porch over at Aunt Chris' cabin. We had BBQ from Memphis and it was a fun night.

They did such a great job and Dustin even sang!!!!! He has such a great voice! The girls enjoyed just sitting and being entertained!

Here is the soon to be Mr & Mrs. Melissa is holding up a piece of her China that my mom found for her. She chose our Grandmother's china as her pattern and it is no longer sold in stores. I think it is so special that she will have the same pattern!!!!

and me and my beautiful mother.

She and I spent some time down on the boat sunday morning. It was the most special time EVER. We did our bible study and prayer time, we talked about what the Lord was doing in our lives and what we were learning and then my mom prayed. If you have not heard my mother pray then you are missing out. SHE IS A PRAYER WARRIOR!!! We were in a parked boat on calm water and at one point the waves just started to come rolling in and crashing against the shore. I instantly felt like God was saying "Yes, Yes, Yes" as if He was agreeing to the things she was covering in prayer. Powerful. It was moment that is now written on my heart! Just something about your mother praying over you and your life and hearing her vocalize her desires for you. So special!!!!!
School is ending!!! Praise God!!!! ha. This weekend is my dad's birthday so they are driving down on Friday for dinner and staying the night! I AM COOKING A FEAST! I love to host people!!!! I am making Paula Deen's Shrimp Spaghetti that I made a few years ago. Add salad and crusty bread and we ARE IN LOVE PEOPLE!!!!! Sat we are going to get up early and head to First Monday Trades Day in CANTON...appropriate since I did graduate from high school there and currently celebrating 10 years OF FREEDOM hahha! kidding.
I hope to run into some old friends! If your going let me know so I can keep my eyes open for you ha! I hope you had a wonderful and restful weekend! I will be back soon to share how God is allowing me to look at the big picture from a distance. Being able to see the beginning, middle and end of who He is and who He is in our stories. Such a neat thing for me!
