Where the wind.....

and it is wed........... I just could not get my pictures finished fast enough this week! We had such a blast this weekend. We talked non-stop, just the way we like it, and enjoyed lingering at the table after every meal. And yes, we ate big every meal hahahaha. IT WAS SO GOOD!

Amy and I drove up Friday afternoon. It was so good to hug Laura! We stayed up till midnight talking....which is SO LATE FOR US ha! We talked about wedding, marriage, life, updates, family.
We all wanted to sleep in but of course we could not. I was able to get up and have my quiet time before the woke up which helped me wake up for the day! Then Laura made us A FEAST for breakfast!

donuts...i mean, seriously........who makes their own donuts! LAURA DOES!!!!! Oh man were they so delicious! We stayed at the breakfast table again for a long time just talking. We have always been table talkers!!!! I love it!
We then got dressed and headed to Norman to eat lunch and shop like we did on our last visit.

After shopping, Laura took us to her office so that I could get a visual of where she works! Her building is old and has so much character! I love old school buildings!

We stopped by the mall and then headed home to fix dinner and relax. Daniel was home from his camp trip and while we prepared the food he gave us the camping trip update! He made a comment that was as though God was speaking directly to me. I will share later but I could have just started crying right then and there. In fact, God has been speaking to me strongly these past few days in really random ways....I will write that out tonight.

Anywho, Laura made us stuffed shells!!! YUM YUM!!!

We spent the evening sitting in the living room talking about wedding stuff and marriage.....getting inside info from L and D about real newlywed life and balancing things. It was so helpful and I love them both dearly for being open and honest with us. Something that really had a big impact on me was the fact they never turned on their tv. Even when we were all sitting in the living room on sat night....we just had their undivided attention. Daniel stayed with us and didn't go hide in the bedroom or anything like that! It just spoke volumes to me. They are such a great couple!

Sunday we went to their church! Praise and Worship time was full of all these old praise songs the three of us sang together at Hillcrest when we were younger. I sing in the choir and I love it. But there is something very different when you are not holding a choir book, standing by friends that have been to battle with you, and you are able to just freely worship from the inside out! It was such a worshipful time! I am grateful! These pics above and below are after church.... I am smiling and laughing in this pic because Laura had just slapped me on the butt and I was surprised hahahhahaha she is such a crazy thang!

and after lunch we drove back home! Soon Amy will be living in Hawaii ministering with her new husband and I believe that God will call L & D back to another country. Weekends like this are precious to me and I do not take them for granted. We are sisters. We are so very different in so many ways and yet God just makes it work! They know me like my parents know me. They know my ugly and love me anyway. They encourage me and they pray for me.
I love them so much.

LAURA AND DANIEL-
you were the very best hosts for us. Thank you for cooking and having us! It was a wonderful weekend! I love you both!
