Weekend and Weight....

Hello Friends! This post is late getting out but I had a really busy weekend followed by a few new things to "Break Free" from that started yesterday. I have a lot on my plate this week that needs my attention so I don't know how much I will post.....however, next week is my SPRING BREAK and I am sure I will have lots to share with you then!

Saturday, at 5:30 pm, in Fort Worth was the wedding of Chelsea and Dominick...a super large Italian wedding...like 400 or more people!! So fun!


The wedding was outside and Praise God that the rain did not come during the ceremony! One of my favorite parts of the wedding was when lots of little girls, dressed in white, flooded the aisle throwing daisies and handing out daisies to those that were sitting on the end. They walked down to a sweet song and they just smiled so big! It was precious!

I was on the end.......so fun!!!

Amy was a bridesmaid and looked beautiful in her brown dress!

By the way........Chels and Dom walked down to "Oh Praise Him" by David Crowder Band like my bff Laura did at her wedding! I love this song because the minute it comes on people can't help but sing along!!!!! So fun for me to see people praising the Lord while a bride walks down the aisle! WOW!

The picture below is of both families coming together for prayer....I like this and will do this at my wedding one day! We were singing a hymn while they prayed!

I AM SOOO THRILLED I CAPTURED THIS MOMENT!!!! They are sooo very happy!

Then it was time to PARTY!!!!!!!! and a party it was! They graciously served us wonderful food and....

and this was about as close as I could get to the couple......other than when Chels passed me and slapped me on the butt hahahhaha! she is so funny. There were just soooo many people everywhere! They are so cute!

Ok, this photo makes me laugh..........#1 you can see how amazing her dress was! #2 it looks like she is randomly busting a move in the middle of people but she was actually on the dance floor! I heart this photo.

I had a great time.......minus the fact that Laura was not there. I hate for friends to not be present during big events and I was really missing her this weekend! Just wasn't the same without my little Laura!!!!

I headed home that night while the party still was going.........I had church on sunday and then hit the road 1 hour north again because................


YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!! BFF #2 is engaged and I am so thrilled for her. He proposed Sunday afternoon after they had enjoyed a nice lunch and time in the Kimble Museum in Fort Worth.

We got the call shortly after she said "Yes" and it took everything in me to not scream "I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU TONIGHT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeremy got a few of us together for a surprise engagement party hosted by Amy's Brother and SIL!

Jeremy is from and currently lives in Hawaii so as you can see.....choosing the theme was easy!

again.....I was really missing Laura at this point. Most of the people that Jeremy knows are from Seminary so I did not really know many there besides Amy's family. All that to say...the longer I had to wait to hug Amy the more anxious I became........

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was beside myself when they got there!!!!!!

AND HERE IS HER BEAUTIFUL RING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it! Jeremy did so good and it is soooo AMY!

We snacked around and then they shared the whole engagement story. By the way, they met while in Seminary.

later in the evening Amy's mom presented her with a traditional Chinese Wedding Box...kinda like a hope chest that we have here in the US. I have looked at this wedding box, at Amy's parents house, many times. They bought this in China many years ago and I just think it is beautiful.

Jeremy heads back to Hawaii tomorrow and Amy is already starting the planning because they are thinking a July wedding is best! 4 MONTHS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!! Exciting and a big reality that in 4 months she will be far away living in Hawaii...tears......but man oh man am I pumped to go visit!!!!!!!!! I can hardly wait!!!!!

In other news.....i gained about 7ish pounds in water weight over the last week. I know it was water weight mainly because it was all gone by Monday night. Might be to much info for you but it was a BIG FAT WAKE UP CALL FROM THE LORD for me. Riding my bike was not cutting it and this weekend I went a bit crazy about it. Not to mention that the food I was cooking last week had A LOT OF SODIUM IN IT! I have shared with you before that, FOR ME, weight gain is usually a sin issue in a few different ways. Interestingly enough i have received a few emails about breaking free from weight and how I lost a lot several years ago. Well, I had not had the time to email them back and I am so glad. I am in the middle of a "refresher course" on weight control with God.

You can tell in my pictures how chubby my face was.....it is now back to normal. Praise God. Some strongholds we are set free from and God removes them completely from our lives FOREVER and some (like mine for weight) arrive every so often. It is time that I be reminded of where He brought me from and to review all the scripture, eating habits, and devotion that He taught me several years ago......... so that I could overcome! You should be thankful I don't have your phone number hahahhaha. Poor Laura, Mom and Jenna Babe....I needed to talk my struggle out and they were so good to listen!

Anyway, I will share more later but Monday I started a new dance workout class. I use to jazzercise all the time but they do not have it in my area. These classes are like Jazzercise on crack.....i kid you not!

My emotions have been all over the place this last month and I was at the being stage of spinning out of control in one area......but I belong to a Faithful God that says "STOP IT NOW" .....and obedience feels sooooooooo very good! More to come...but let me end with saying that even in my random moment of feeling like a total loser while driving down the road this weekend............ GOD CAME AND RESCUED ME RIGHT WHERE I WAS! He did NOT DELAY and He nipped my ridiculous "loser" feeling in the bud! He washed me clean from my sin and then set me back out going a different direction that has His Glory all over it!

And that is one of the MANY REASONS I LOVE HIM SO!!!!!! Can't hide anything, don't have to hide anything......because He is trustworthy! Breaking Free from clutter and breaking free from this extra weight I CHOSE to pick up. He did it before and I know He will do it again! Did all that even make sense??? ha! Love you friends!
