Spiritual Warfare
I told you evil would try to hit us where it hurts. Let me say this clearly....... DO NOT START A SINGLE DAY WITHOUT PRAYING FOR PROTECTION.
"Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8
My Mother said it best the other morning......"Oh, God has something good to show and teach yall for satan to be bothering so many. Remember he does not mess with the ones that are not a threat to him."
She is correct. I told you to be on guard because he would strike and he is. So I think it is time I share with you some of the verses and proclamations that I have been using for a several years now.
These proclamations were not written by me. They were written and anointed by a dear woman, Mrs. Teresa Ambra, that was willing to share them with Laura, Amy and I. I hold these cards tightly to my heart and at least one stack is with me at all times. I will just share a few of them with you that relate to spiritual warfare. I would suggest you print these and say them out loud the minute your discernment tells your spirit..."This is not right". Of course, make the proclamations personal to you...and of course it is so powerful to place your name in scripture or to use "me". CLAIM THESE FRIENDS! God's word is ALIVE and it slices the enemy in hearing distance.
Protection
2 Timothy 4:18 (AB)
[And indeed] the Lord will certainly deliver and [a]draw me to Himself from every assault of evil. He will preserve and bring me safe unto His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen (so be it).
Isaiah 54:17 (AB)
But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.
Proclamation:
"I proclaim God's special protection against all accusation and slander the enemy uses to harm me, my reputation, my job, or any life situation. God will not allow "any weapon formed against me to prosper, and every tongue that arises against me shall be condemned."
Psalm 91:9-11 NIV
If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-
then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
Proclamation:
"I refuse the enemy ground to 'steal, kill, and destroy' (John 10.10), by causing harm, disaster or plagues, because "no evil shall befall me, nor shall any plague come near my dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways."
Warfare Strategies: BINDS AND CORDS
Isaiah 58:6 (AB)
[Rather] is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every [enslaving] yoke?
Proclamation:
"I am determined to break the yoke of ___________ that is hindering _________(specific person) from coming to faith in Christ. As it is written, I am "to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke." (ex for blanks above: spiritual blindness, deception, unbelief, pride, resistance, religious spirits, falsehood, arrogance, rebellion)
Psalm 129:4 (AB)
The Lord is [uncompromisingly] righteous; He has cut asunder the thick cords by which the wicked [enslaved us].
Proclamation:
"I declare 'the LORD is good; he has cut the cords' of ___________ 'used by the ungodly to bind me.'" (ex for blank above: fear, stress, pride, gossip, unforgiveness, worry, doubt, gluttony, unbelief)
Ezekiel 34:27
The trees of the field will yield their fruit and the ground will yield its crops; the people will be secure in their land. They will know that I am the LORD, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them.
Warfare Strategies: ATTACKING THE ENEMY
Psalm 9:3;6a
My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you. Endless ruin has overtaken the enemy, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.
Psalm 58:6-7 (CEV)
My enemies are fierce as lions, LORD God! Shatter their teeth. Snatch out their fangs. Make them disappear like leaking water, and make their arrows miss.
Proclamation:
"I declare that God is on MY SIDE!. God has made the demonic powers that are attacking me have 'weapons that are useless in their hands.'.....then read the rest of the scripture.
Psalm 18:37-39
I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them so that they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet.
You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet.
Proclamation:
"I proclaim God's victory over demon strongholds of _______________. They will no longer have authority to afflict my family. I declare the enemy powers of ___________ are subdued beneath my feet. I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them so that they could not rise; they feel beneath my feet. You armed me with strength for battle; You made my adversaries bow at my feet." (ex for blanks above: obsession, compulsion, impatience, fatigue, discontentment, fault-finding, nervousness, insomnia, despondency, restlessness.)
Warfare Strategies: Dismissing the Enemy
Deuteronomy 28:7 (AB)
The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
Proclamation:
"I declare that enemy powers of ________________ that are hindering my presentation of the gospel to the lost (or name a specific person) are defeated and over-thrown. The LORD will cause my enemies who rise against me to be defeated before my face; they shall come out against me one way and flee before me seven ways." (ex for blank: cynicism, skepticism, intellectualism, tradition, prejudice, deceiving spirits,etc.)
Psalm 54:5 (NLT)
May the evil plans of my enemies be turned against them. Do as you promised and put an end to them.
Proclamation:
"I annihilate demonic thrones of _____________ affecting the lost (specific person or people group and location) and preventing them from coming to Christ. I also dismiss all evil powers of _______________ trying to seduce my family into sin. 'May my enemies' plans for evil be turned against them. Do as You promised and put an end to them.'" (ex of blanks: antichrist spirit, persecution, terror, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, unbelief, spiritual blindness, seduction, pornography, adultery, materialism, greed, covetousness, workaholicism).
Warfare Strategies: Our Authority in Battle
Psalm 144:1
Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
Proclamation:
"I choose to 'stand my ground against the devil;s schemes' Eph 6:11 Because 'He gives me strength for war and skill for battle.' I realize that 'the battle is not mine, but God's'. 2 Chronicles 20.15 In the power of Jesus has delegated to me, I pull down enemy strongholds of _____________ and demolish them. (ex for blank: contention, arguing, grumbling, complaining)
Luke 10:19
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Revelation 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Proclamation:
I am in agreement with the word of God that I have overcome evil powers of _______________ and have 'conquered them by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony, for I do not love my life in the face of death." (ex for blank: stubbornness, self-pity, loneliness, passivity,apathy, resentment, self-reliance, self-sufficiency, inadequacy, gossip, shame)
I hope that you will find these scriptures extremely helpful. We need to know what the Word says so that we understand that God has really given us guidance, knowledge, and direction for every area of our life. To pretend like demonic forces don't exists around you would be extremely naive and false. Also know that there is nothing new under the sun. It has all happened before so as we draw near to God, He will draw near to us.
You don't have to fight alone or empty handed. Call on His name and claim these verses! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; ALL I HAVE NEEDED, THY HAND HAS PROVIDED; Great is Thy faithfulness, LORD, unto me! I love you friends. I am now off to go write a personal post about my week!
