Oh Father, two years of blogging.
Two years of You writing through me. Two years of you teaching me so much and making me work hard things out and then turn and share my struggles with everyone. Two years of you requiring BIG things of me and growing my deepest desire to be transparent. I can hardly praise you enough for all that you have done.
It seems like yesterday and an eternity ago all at the time. I will never forget the dream I had where I was standing and a voice said "Art or Writing".....and I responded without hesitation..."WRITING, I CHOOSE WRITING"....and even that morning, when I woke up, my first words were "writing Lord, I choose writing".
You have given me a space the express what it is you are doing in my life. You have given me a space that is controlled/protected by you and used for your glory. You have given me a space that safe for me to be me. I thank you for that.
I thank you that your forgiveness is deep and wide and your love for me is eternal. I thank you that you speak to many through this blog and that you draw people closer to you. Thank you that just when I think no one will understand me or what I am saying you open the flood gate and minister beyond belief. I look back on when this "woman's faith journey" began and I am overwhelmed at how much you have changed me. Many use the verse "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine" when talking about the things you have so graciously blessed them with and that is always a beautiful thing but sometimes I see it as what you have done in us!! Just between the two of us! Lord, when I think about how you dug into my soul and healed it up much deeper than I could have imagined......remember what Beth Moore said at the conference...that our hurt is deep and we have to allow YOU to go deeper to heal. THAT IS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME!
You did not just heal me but you have RESTORED ME, REDEEMED ME, and SET ME FREE!
Now THAT, is when I raise my hands and say "NOW TO YOU, LORD, WHO IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN WE COULD ASK OR IMAGINE" .........YOU GO BEYOND WHAT WE THINK YOU ARE ABLE TO DO........I love that about you. I love that you desire to bless and you desire for us to delight! You have done a work in me and I scream out "DO IT AGAIN LORD, DO IT AGAIN"....oh please continue to make me deal with the hard things. Oh please continue to use me to write, to encourage, and to bless. I love doing your will and I love LOVE being used by you! There is no greater joy for me!
So I am yours, Lord. Thank you for all that you have done through this blog and all the friendships that have come from it! Thank you for all that read....may you bless them and may you give this blog a very strong, contagious fragrance that makes them want to know you more!
