Sadness.....
That's right.....oh the tears i shed on Saturday. $75 worth of tears. You know how i hate to spend money on electronics and such. I kid you not....when i saw that my DSL thing had a red light I knew that all the beautiful plans of editing the rest of my fantastic Christmas pics WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!
Mom says the Lord did it and since I had just finished writing in my prayer journal about MANAGING MY TIME BETTER........I knew she was right! God works so fast sometimes! ha!
So what did I do all weekend without the Internet.....
*i read 2 books
*had several AMAZING QUIET TIMES with the Lord
*rode 8 miles on my bike
*made chili
*made brownies
*went to bed at 7.30 last night!!!!! WHAT???? i got 10 hours of SLEEP! PRAISE GOD!
*cleaned house
and
*even wrote a few post out about a few things I was learning......
Man, it is amazing what you can get done when God turns everything off. I even got to the park and my music thing did not work. So God and I rode 4 miles together and I must say it was delightful!
So, bear with me. It is finals week at school so the kids go home early! I hope that I can get some blogging done during that time!
I will leave you with these words from David Crowder Band...........I can't seem to get this song out of my head. It has played everyday at school at least twice. But the part that get me is when they sing.......
"He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy"
.................and since God has made me His tree (Jer 17) these lines really speak to me. But most importantly my heart is tender to the fact that He is jealous for me. I spend so much time doing so many other things...even things for Him......that sometimes He has to break my DSL so that I will spend quality time ALONE with Him. Sometimes He has to get more extreme....either way I love that He is jealous for me and morn the fact that I am to prone to forget.
So the chorus says..."Oh how He loves us"....and when i sing this i like to twirl around and dance because His love for me is the greatest love story of my life! He makes me feel beautiful and I thank Him for making the stupid dsl thing die so that I could spend my weekend with HIM!
OH HOW HE LOVES US SWEET FRIENDS!!!!!!!
