SNOW ON CHRISTMAS EVE...

Merry Christmas dear friends!

We had somewhat of a sad start to the Christmas festivities with the lose of my Great Grandmother.

She was to turn 100 on Jan 2 and a big family party was to be held in her honor that day. Shortly after being returned to Water Valley, Mississippi she passed away on Tuesday night. So sad to not get to say one last goodbye I was completely comforted not only by her salvation but also by the fact that she was the blessed one. She had received the best Christmas gift ever. Like Kelly said..."She is spending Christmas with Christ".....now can i get an AMEN about that!!!!! Miss Judy sent this verse to my family..........Psalms 116:15

" Precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of his saints."

Does that not comfort a sad heart or what? Like my bible commentary says.....God chooses the time when they will be called into his presence and we praise HIM for giving her such a full life.

Thank you again to so many of my twitter gals that prayed for us during her last moments!
I love you dearly and covet your prayers!
Her funeral will be on Sunday in Water Valley and we will be heading to Memphis on Sat.

Now God's mercies are new each morning and I must say that this Christmas Eve I am enjoying family even more while I have them here on earth. We have been eating and laughing and eating and taking naps!

The biggest news is the snow storm that is currently happening outside.

This is what it looked like late morning time....

Brother in Law George ventured out to check the mail....at this point the wind was crazy but little snow was sticking.....

so we drank cider, got ready, worked on the puzzle then ate......

my mom's homemade lasagna!!!! it was her mother's recipe and it ROCKS MY WORLD!!!!!

while we were piled up in mom and dad's room watching old home videos,.....a favorite of mine because Dixie and I loved to perform........shocking I know hahahahha.......,we notice that the snow storm was getting bigger and bigger.

So of course, mom and I decided we needed our pictures in the snow!!!!!!

i have on my dad's boots ha

are we crazy or what?

what am I doing????? i never really know hahahha

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS IS TEXAS????????????

OH HOW FUN IT IS!!!!

sad news is that the Christmas Eve service was canceled and we really like going as a family and having the Lord's supper together. Oh well! We are still having a wonderful time!

I hope you will hug your family a little tighter tonight and tell them you love them! How blessed we are to celebrate Jesus and to also celebrate eternity! Oh how I can't wait to see our Savior face to face one day! amen amen!

Merry Christmas and I love you all very much!
