OBNOXIOUS about OKLAHOMA

obnoxious does not even begin to describe this post.........i have a million photos on here but you only live once and I just could not leave these pictures sitting in a lonely file on my computer. I have the most fun friends. They are not ever "to cool for school" and that is what makes out time together so fun!............but before we begin- if you emailed me Thursday through yesterday......i am sorry i have not yet responded. I will get to those as soon as this post is done! Thank you for emailing me and I treasure your words!
Now for my weekend wrap up...mid week ha!
On Friday, Amy and I drove up to Oklahoma City to stay with Laura R. Grant for one of the last weekends that she will be Laura Grant. Amy and I talked the WHOLE WAY and it was so nice to be able to spend extended time with my girls.
Shortly after we arrived Laura and Mr. Morgan showed us some of their dance moves for the wedding! They have been taking lessons and I think that is sooooo fun!

laura sooooooo serious hahahahha

Mr. Morgan is never shy or ashamed to speak of his love for Laura..........that makes me cry. He is so open and I just enjoy having convos with him. In this pic we are listening to SONGS HE WROTE ABOUT LAURA while they were in different cities in China.....the songs made me cry because many of the things she heard, in the songs, were the first moments of him sharing how he felt about her................oh he has such a tender heart! We just love him!!!!!!!!

Then we ate this amazing eclair dessert that Laura made us! yum

Saturday morning I woke up about 7 and was sooooo rested. As you know, I was so sick last week and was worried about going out of town. I slept great and was able to have my own bible time with the Lord about an hour before they got up. It was so strange for me to be sitting in the future home of the soon to be Morgan's. For now it was "girl domain" but in a week and a half a man would be there. I got to pray over their home and for their relationship. It was a really calm and special time between me and Father.
Good thing, because once the girls got up we DRANK POTS OF YUMMY COFFEE and ate breakfast pizza's that my mom had made up for us! THANKS MOM! We sat around the table and just talked 90 miles an hour.
Then we got all fixed up and headed to Norman for shopping and lunch!

Norman was up and already getting the town ready for the home game against Kansas State...

Across from the school is this strip of shopping and eating places that we spent LOTS of time enjoying!

Is this not such a cute nightie for a new bride.....

and the back.........cute and the hubby will love it because it supports his team.......now that is love people!

Now, I love school spirit. Heck, I was voted most school spirited several times in my high school career....BUT we kept running into so many OU things that made us laugh and we just had to take pictures........

i have always loved the foam finger...........and i thought i was so cute in my purple maternity jacket! That morning I asked Laura was the other team's colors were that OU was playing....she didn't know until I was walking around in my PURPLE JACKET, PURPLE TURTLE NECK, AND PURPLE SUNGLASSES........................and we ran into some Kansas State fans.......in all purple! uuuuggghhhhhhh no wonder I kept getting stared at as we looked at OU merchandise. Seriously?????? ha

flips

football purse..wow .ha

and of course, no wedding registry is complete without school spirited gnomes hahahaha

It was the most perfect day outside!!!!!! For lunched we headed to Sweet Basil for some DELICIOUS Thai food!

spring rolls

Chicken Curry

Chicken with peppers.....SO GOOD!

WARNING.......

This is when the "wonderful photos with wonderful friends" begins........this is obnoxious only on my part. My girls are darling and I just can't NOT share these. Laura told us about a train station and tracks just up the road from Sweet Basil.....so we just got crazy and had a blast........hope you enjoy!

Oh we had so much fun! Then we went home and played "Make-Up". Amy practiced looks on Laura for the wedding. I rested on the couch and watched!

look #1 that we loved!

then we played with my really red lipstick....hahahhaha i love red lips...Laura wasn't a fan but i think she looks DANGEROUS! ha

That evening, Daniel came over and while we drank coffee he made us dinner!!!!!!!
IS HE NOT THE BEST OR WHAT?

Here is one of the new lamps my mom got them......and the painting I did for her when she graduated from Grad School!

We stayed up late Saturday night.......TALKING.....big surprise. We have always been the type of girls that could not say goodbye. Like at church we would stand around talking inside, move outside and talk another 30 minutes hahahahaha! Oh I love our conversations! We are each VERY DIFFERENT and that makes for rich relationships!
The love birds!

Sunday we went to the church they have been visiting......First Southern Baptist Church. It was a wonderful Spirit filled place! Two things that I loved............
1. the baptistery is out on the side of the stage and family and friends can come and gather around the person being baptized...I had never seen anything like it and I teared up several times. It was so sweet to see the little elementary kids coming up the stairs by themselves to support their other elementary friend publicly professing their faith! The pastor asked each child "What has Christ done for you?" and their sweet child voices responded..."He has forgiven my sins". AMEN AMEN! Oh the tears! Raised to walk in newness of life.............it was very sweet!
2. there was a boy about 4 sitting in front of us between his mother and grandmother. During the worship time he stood on the pew with his hands on their shoulders and sang EVERY WORD OF EVERY SONG......he was 4 and it was precious.....I really liked the church.
So that was my weekend! Back at work and then Friday is my mom's 55th birthday! Can you believe she is going to be 55....she is lookin sooooo good I think! I will head to their house for the weekend! love you friends and to those that made it this far to read this........sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite! Talk with you soon!!!
