Wild Women in Austin...

ok so when I say that I think this post might be longer than all 20,000 posts about the cruise.....I AM SERIOUS! So I am keeping it short on the words side..promise.... and will just tell the story with the pictures! A brownie sundae or maybe a really great sonic drink while reading is the perfect combination! ha! I, of course, am eating a brownie! yum!

Thurs Morning...

We got up early and headed to Austin/Round Rock/Cedar Park area.....it all gets confusing to me down there!

We arrived at Dixie and George's place around lunch time! We were glad to see each other!

and of course we loved the new Mary Kay Dixie had ordered for Mom!

We ate chicken salad sandwiches and this really great Texas Caviar Dip for lunch then headed out to see the house that Dixie and George closed on as of Friday!

She is letting Mom and I come and decorate the house and of course we are just tickled to death to do it! We are a good team. She organizes very well and I can make fast decor decisions!

After looking at the house and talking wall colors and flooring options we headed to the JC Penney in Round Rock.........if you haven't already caught on......MY FAMILY L-O-V-E-S JCP.
I find the best stuff there!

While looking around I caught up with Dixie and the girl said to me the 6 sweetest words a sister could EVER HEAR............

"Lets play WHAT NOT TO WEAR"...........

I screamed so loud in glee that I might have scared people! Those were not just words, they were a special love language from a sister that DOES NOT like to shop to a sister that LOVES to shop!

Not to mention that playing WNTW without Stacy and Clinton would be HUGE shoes to fill so we decided to start at the beginning........

and say goodbye to the old wardrobe......tear....

Afraid this perfect Caroline game might turn into a pumpkin, I moved quickly to pick up cute and casual outfits for Dixie to work in!

Within minutes we had a cart FULL and we went to our secret dressing room in JCP that is always empty and is super spacious with great lighting and mirrors.....I will not tell this location but next time you are there don't just settle for the boring rooms in the ladies section......search around and you will find "THIS" place! ha!

ok back to Dixie......the girl is only 5 foot even, so we have to be very careful with skirt length. Almost right away we feel in love with this tan dress skirt......and she was looking so good!

Judge Aunt Chris totally approved of the cuteness!

of course I had to take her measurements...I mean I love pretending, HELLO I DRESSED MY BARBIES TILL THE 8th GRADE! I should have been an actress.......I like to go all out in my pretend roles hahahhahha!

This silk shirt on Dixie was just perfect and made her eyes pop! So that one was a must to buy!

And again Judge Aunt Chris beamed with joy at how pretty Dixie looked!

No more sadness from this girl about her clothing! NO WAY! She was happy with all the outfits that we found......and most of it was sooooooo on sale!

There the pretty girl is now! Beaming with her new look in a bag! New house, new look.......now all I need is a baby from her and I would be THRILLED! hahahah oh just kidding!

I, of course, found a few things I had to have. ha! I must say that my sister sure does know how to fill my love tank up! It was the best afternoon together!!!!!!

and the sisters with there packages too!

I know that you are thinking... we spent hours in JCP and that was enough shopping............NO WAY......so we drove across the street to the wonderful outlet mall.

I had not been to this outlet and apparently they don't always have the best deals. BUT......we hit it on a great week day!

Banana Republic is one of my very favorite stores.......the stuff on sale that is ha! Well I have these quarter sleeve light weight sweaters........very thin....that i buy every year. They are great for school because i can throw some gaudy jewelry on and have a great outfit. WELL....i usually have to pay full price for them but on this particular day the shirts rang up for only 8.99 each! Normally 40.....well i got a yellow, royal blue, green, and black all for the price I would get for one! AMEN AMEN!

And as you can see below........I was very happy!!!!!!!!!

and just had to do my "I just got a great deal" dance right then and there! ha

the great thing is that we ALL got great deals in Banana and that led to some wild girls out in the court yard...or it could have been the 105 heat that sent up sailing into crazy land! Anyway, we just felt the need to work it......

crazy sisters........

crazy sisters........

are you still reading????? ok hang in there...the best is yet to come! ha

After hours on our feet Mom and Aunt Chris had to get those babies elevated!

ok here is the coolest part of the day.............................we went home to freshen up and then headed out to Lake Travis to eat at the Oasis ............

when i say that this place was HUGE.....i mean the place was HUGE! Word on the street is that it burned a while back and a big time Architectural Digest guy bought it and redid the whole thing...........it is right on the water and man oh man the sound of live music just makes me want to twirl around!

The parking lot was PACKED. When we went in we discovered that, because it is so big, that there are people spread out all over....not one area was over packed!

We were taken to the second floor deck!

Is it not beautiful? the decks keep going and going down. I can just see a wonderful wedding reception here outside! Plus they had these misting fans that kept things cool!

Dixie taking our picture from a lookout deck!

I love this pic of mom and chris

as you all know.......i yield to cheese. I just love it and if I can get caso then I am so gonna get it! It was great at the Oasis!

We all split fajitas for two and there was so much food that we had left overs!

is this not a cool place or what?

so there are all kinds of statues EVERYWHERE! The guy defiantly did a great job of bringing in the art. this diver is super fun!

breathtaking

oh the sunset. now this is the way I want to spend my days.....on a deck with ice tea and the breeze from the lake!!!!!! oh that would be nice!

The place is 6 different levels. On the top level is the stage with live music and a big area to dance! I am totally not kidding when I say that at first I thought the singer looked like Wes, you know..... that boy that was such an embarrassment to the great state of Texas...from the bach, but Praise the Lord is wasn't or I would have felt the need to let him know what I thought about his tacky little performance........oh I am so thankful my ugliness did not have to make an appearance that night!

Aunt Chris was needing to rest her back so Mom, Dixie and I all walked around the rest of the place. Both inside and outside are beautifully decorated.

and of course, due to the overwhelming number of statues, there are PLENTY of Fun pictures to take............

I just love these bird pics

hahhah oh we are crazy i know! this is a bad pic below but you can kinda see the grandness of the Oasis...

after dinner and fun we headed back to the apartment and brother in law George had made us HOMEMADE ICE CREAM! bless his little heart.......it was sooooooo good!

Friday...

we woke up and enjoyed some yummy coffee and really yummy kaloches from West that we had picked up.

Then it was time for us girls to head home!
Just about the time we were going to run out of gas we realized that the next exit was Willie's Place and what better way to enjoy a pit stop.

cafe and a general store! so country and so cute! There is even a stage and dance floor in the back!

there was also a little area that had some of his guitars......

and paintings which i enjoyed.

then I found the cowboy hats...........what do you think? could I pretend to be a cowgirl and get away with it? hahahhahahahahhaa

ok maybe not hahahah but I sure do like wearing them!

Then we arrived at my house and the girls headed to Sanger! It was such a fun time! I hope that your eye balls have not fallin out and rolled down the hall because of the
length of this big mama post!

Aunt Chris, thank you for flying here to see us! It was great having you in my home!
Mom, as always, you are a blast to be with!
See yall on Greers Ferry Lake, Arkansas in 4 days!

Enjoy your week friends and be safe!
