Girl Time in Waxahachie....

Hi friends! It is Saturday and I am thrilled to share that I am going to stay in my pj's all day long and not leave this house.....oh that sounds like heaven. Being the makeup lover that I am....sometimes it is so great to just say "not today" hahahah! So, as you can probably guess, I have a million pics from my time with mom, aunt chris, and dixie. ha! can't help it. I am an "over-anything" kind of person. I get it from my dad....why do it small when you can do it big hahahahhahaha! one word to describe me......GAUDY.......and I wouldn't change it for the world! I love it! ha

With that said- this post contains the first two days together and then tomorrow I will post about our time in Austin/Cedar Park/Round Rock area!

First things first......I GOT A HAIR CUT! PRAISE THE LORD! I keep wanting to grow my hair out but then I get it cut and I feel like my personality comes back to life. I guess I need to just stick with this "do" below!

On Tues mom and aunt chris came to stay with me! This was the first time for Aunt Chris to see my cute town and home! I was so excited to see them!

after showing Chris the house we headed to the Dove's Nest.....SHOCKING I KNOW....I am beginning to think that they need to pay me for all the advertising I do about them haahahahha! Oh it is just a fun place to be and of course the food is amazing.

mom and I really enjoy eating things and trying to figure out what is in it and how they made it! hahahahha It is like a game for us!

Then it was dessert time.....sometimes I promise I can hear the Hallelujah Chorus playing in my head as the waitress sets the plate down!!!!!!!!!

Then we shopped around in the store area! They have the neatest things.

on Tues, Texas was soooooooooooooooooooooo hot. I mean hot hot hot. We walked around the square for just a bit.

Then we headed to Sonic for something refreshing to help us cool down and then drove around the town to look at houses!

that evening we just hung out at the house. We snacked on fresh fruit and popcorn at the table and just talked and talked! It was good quality time!

The next morning we woke up and enjoyed some great coffee while we all had our quiet times. Mom had picked black berries a few days before and then made us this amazing black berry coffee cake which pretty much tasted like heaven. It was like a homemade pound cake with blackberry and pecan filling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put a little real butter on it and heat up---------OH MY WORD IT WAS SOOOO FANTASTIC!!!!!

We then put our bathing suits on and headed to the lake and my sunday school teachers beautiful home!

She was home so she let mom and chris take a tour of the house. It is a great house for entertaining.....very comfortable and inviting inside!

This is their pool and then the lake behind it! Any of you DFW people that watch Ch 8 news and know Dale Hanson...that is his roof in the pic to the left. His house is surrounded by the lake on three sides! So fun!

ok, so side note.....Waxahachie is like the Crape Myrtle Capital of Texas! They have a festival and everything. Well there are tons of the crape myrtles in red...which we had never seen till I moved here. And I don't mean dark pink...RED! and they are soooooooo lush and fun!

We enjoyed their pool for hours and just had the best time talking and talking and guess what.....TALKING! ha

We were so tired when we got home. I made Taco Pie right away and after showering we all ate our big meal of the day!

Later we broke out one of my favorite games Whoonu........of course Hand and Foot is my ALL TIME FAVORITE.....and played several rounds while watching HGTV hahahahh!

then we headed to bed so that we could get up early and head to Austin! the next group of pics are my favorite because it was just a super wonderful day in Austin!
