COSTA RICA WILL BE UP TOMORROW

tears....I have tears.....while on the cruise my BFF Laura, from since we were in college, got engaged. And my heart is beyond thrilled. THRILLED! She has been serving in another country for over a year and the man that is to be her groom was also in the same country............................and I can't help but raise my hands to God and give Him praise.

Was this falling in love in Laura's plans.....no....was leaving early from the country she felt called to in order to get married part of her plans......no. But God's plans are always way cooler and way more exciting than ours...hands down!

I could go on and on about how much this girl means to me, how we are not just friends but sisters in Christ, how we met our junior year at Dallas Baptist University on a college retreat with my old beloved Hillcrest Baptist Church.....how we were the only ones up early that morning to get our hair and make-up done.

We bonded over sharing a curling iron and the rest is history. ha

All the retreats we attended, taking thousands of notes, trying to understand the opposite sex and what we wanted in a future spouse.....

All the hours at the pool talking out our faith and what we were learning that particular week in our quiet times.......

All the hours of dreaming with Amy about the places we wanted to go and the mission work we wanted to do....

All the hours of talking about this crush and that crush and praying together during our times of loneliness...

All the hours spent dedicated to seeking FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD and waiting for His timing to ADD HIS THINGS....His Blessing to our lives....


And now, Laura, God has granted you your request that you laid at His feet! Here we all are, nearing 28, and God continues to prove to us time and time again that He knows our every thought, hears our every cry, and will answer our request according to HIS WILL!

FOR HE IS FAITHFUL!

I could go on and on but will save my heart stories for another time! I love you Laura! I love Dan too! I have enjoyed walking this entire love story with you.......even the phone calls that I told you to CHILL OUT and the times we were wondering if he liked you or not and why boys act one way but feel another hahahhahaha.

I praise God that He allowed me to come along for the ride!
