Day at Sea, Belize and Parents 33rd Anniversary

ok this is one of the last "picture post that is so long you have to actually take a bathroom break in the middle just to survive it"....... I promise. Plus God has been really working a subject in my heart so much that I long to be able to write it out! That will be soon.

So lets just jump in. The day after Costa Rica was an At Sea day which means lay out all day, hit up the sauna, nap, and dinner. I love at sea days sooooo much.

On this particular day I did something very bad.......I ate all rich flavored foods for every meal.....sat in the sauna and sun way to long.....and then pigged out at dinner.... see the double chin in the pic below.....my stomach was already starting to feel uneasy.....

side note...this is the chocolate molten cake they have on the menu every night...it is to DIE FOR!!!!!!

I don't have many pictures from this night because by the time I got to the show I knew something severe was about to happen. I went back to the room and was sick two different times........I was beat and worried I would miss Belize.......

But the next morning I was feeling much better and told myself to STOP EATING EVERYTHING.....and that seemed to do the trick!

Here is mom and I as we all waited to get on our boat to GO SNORKELING at the second largest coral barrier reef in the world! We were so excited!

on this day our ship was parked out away from land so we just stepped off the ship onto the boat!

8 am on the ocean......what a way to start the morning. here are some pics I was able to get...and finally we had bright sun and blue sky in the morning on an excursion!

they give you these stickers to wear...i hate them because i always loose mine.......and mom was all like "oh no where is my sticker"...... no one knew till she raised her arm and there it was....hahahah..check out the guy behind her yawning hahahah

then it was time to jump in and have fun....i have an underwater camera but have no developed them yet so just trust me when I say the reef was AMAZING and all the fish and the one sting ray that I saw was soooooooo cool!!!!!!

When we got back on the boat I was told that dad had been in an "accident". I was unaware because Leanne and I just jumped in and started heading out looking at stuff.

The accident involved dad having to FIGHT OFF A SHARK AFTER HE JUMPED IN!!!!!! Here is his leg....

A SHARK!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???????????? no you can't??????......ok well your right. He wasn't actually attacked by a shark but the boat ladder.....just sounded cool to have a shark adventure in the middle of the Carribean Sea! ha! But good thing they got him out of the ocean because blood was everywhere and a shark might have come to get his breakfast!!!!!!!! hahahahah just kidding that would be really bad..... i realize that hahahha

these are two cousins that we meet. We had seen them everywhere and finally introduced ourselves. They hung out with us the rest of the day! It was so fun! one is from Washington D.C., and the other Kansas City!

We finally got to the Island called Bannister Caye........I could have stayed ALL DAY LONG!!!!! it was so darling

water looks great right? well it was great and felt great and sooo clear but at some point while standing in it a mini jellyfish bit me on the boob and I was like..."i know that did not just happen"....good news is that it only feels like an ant bit and goes away after a while!

we talked with the girls and decided to just go straight into Belize City without going to our rooms...... so we jumped on another boat.

then it was back to the boat. We ate, mom and I did the water slide a couple of times, and then I walked around to try and capture the beautiful afternoon and the clouds!

That night it was our last Dress up night.......so I broke out the fake lashes......Leanne had hers on too...fyi- Leanne had hers put on before the trip by a professional and they can last up to 2 weeks. isn't that so neat! Fake lashes can do wonders on people!

oh and I thought i was so lookin good....too bad I so have lip gloss on my teeth in this pic...I MEAN SERIOUSLY WAS NO ONE GOING TO TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha oh just kidding...those things don't bother me.

ps- this is the dress that i LOVE that i got for 7.99 at Ross!!! it has art teacher written all over it!

and the Hughes fam never goes on a vacation that we DON'T run into somebody we know hahahhaa. This is Carole who is friends with Carol Harrison that my parents knew back when Dad was coaching in Millington, TN! Such a small world!

then it was time for the most AMAZING piece of CHOCOLATE CAKE to be delivered and....

the staff to start singing in their wonderful voices from around the world!

oh it was such a great way to celebrate 33 years...spend the day in beautiful Belize and then dress up that night! fun fun

side note.....shopping on the boat is great great great! bought this purse for $10. i love it

that night it was the last big broadway style show and boy was it wonderful. It was all about The Beatles and hands down the best performance!!!!!!!!
