Where the heck have I been???????? Well, I love each of you that have emailed me with true concern hahaahhhahahaah I am alive!!!!! December was a very busy month. You know I am not a fan of busy and somewhere between school ending, church program weekend before Christmas, weekend company, leaving for parents house, then leaving for Memphis Tenn.......................Blogging just seemed overwhelming. I never EVER thought I would not blog for 2 weeks but friends there just wasn't a lot of down time and as a result.........YOU ARE GIVEN A BIG FAT POST OF A MILLION PICTURES AT ONCE SO THAT TOMORROW i CAN GO ON AND GET DOWN TO WRITING. Oh do I have much to say about some things I have been hearing from the Lord. So lets begin this beast of a post and warning................this is a lot of Hughes/Dixon family pics so please don't hate looking at us by the end. I really did try to narrow it down....but like packing for a trip.......I want to take everything.........hahah I love you all. I have missed each one of you and I so look forward to a new year with you!!!!!

Dixie came in early to stay and I had my Choir concert on sat and sunday night. This is the stained glass in the balcony...ooooo is it not beautiful. Can't you just see me in my wedding dress in front of it...sigh....it will be lovely!!hahahha just playin

I then stayed home on monday to finish shopping and packing. On Tues. Dec something I headed to my parents house.Their tree

i have forgotten to put christmas day picks up but listen i have been downloading for like 5 hours now so you will just have to imagine it. We Fondue with all kinds of stuff to fry and it is sooo fun and takes hours. Then we did a chocolate fondue that night...need i say more!Dec 27 we headed to Germantown,Tenn...outside of Memphis to my Daddy Bob's house..

That night we had the annual and I mean ANNUAL Dixon Family Christmas get together.
This year it was at Daddy Bobs.
Her is a major part of my mom's side of the family.

So Daddy Bob's bedroom ended up being the hangout. We some how all ended up back there and had a GREAT TIME TOGETHER. This is us all on the bed talking about.......what else.....BLOGGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The next morning we were up early and headed to Water Valley Mississippi to see our sweet Great Grandmother....Grandma Burns...how is 99 today and friends she is sharp as can bee and has an excellent memory!!!!

She is in a nursing home now but back in the day she made the best breakfast I have ever tasted. Her biscuits were amazing. She is a former teacher and I think her love of reading has helped keep mind sharp.
Then we drove by their old home place.....
Then we headed to the heart of Water Valley to eat at one of the only options they have....
none other than the PIGGLY WIGGLY!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing beats lunch at the Pig. It was a first for us but was so much fun. I even ventured to the bathroom in the back...but that is a whole other story!

This is memory lane for a sec.......on the way home my dad drove us through the city..Whitehaven, Tenn where my parents were raised....the city is very different today needless to say.

But.........Dr. Mike has been one of my dad's dearest friends and has had us over every christmas since I can remember....I don't remember not going. Here is mom and dad, Carondelet and Mike. I just love them so much! I enjoy being with them every year.
I have said before that since my dad retired from football two years ago that he has been writing a lot of music. Mike loves making music so together they have created this team that is just amazing.
Dad does the words and mike puts the music to it. this is his cool set up!!!!
