HOUSTON WEEKEND WEDDING

So I am back from a great weekend away in Houston for the Simmons-Elliott wedding. This is a long one people...sorry so i will keep my commentary to a minimum.....i know i always say that but this time I MEAN IT!...just pics...well maybe..hehehe
friday night.....George (B-I-L) and Mom share
the same birthday so we went to eat sea food and celebrate!
explanation...mom has many pictures with her head near or in some sort of Animal....I know...we are crazy people....think it started on our trip to Washington D.c. many years ago. She put her head in a T. Rex's mouth and it has been tradition ever since hahahahahha. oh my!....I TOLD YOU ...DON'T DARE THE WOMAN!
dad and I drinking hot chocolate.....THAT'S RIGHT<> mom and her bird book from George

and with her new cute CUTE magnetic chalkboard from the sisters.

This is us saturday morning......with mom saying...."oh don't take my pictures without my lip stick on!!!!!!!!" hahahha classic southern woman response! The wedding was at 11 am. I am not a fan of an early wedding. Holly, the bride, had to be up so early to get hair and make-up.......I will def get married later in the day!
The church in Houston
The beautiful bride, Holly, and her oh so handsome groom, Peyton! Ok let me just say this about the wedding............you know how some wedding are all about the people getting married, which is fine but you know when you go to a wedding and everything is about the Lord.........THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT! MAN OH MAN THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS ALL OVER THIS CEREMONY. From the music to the call to worship to the scripture reading to the way they looked at each other......to the preacher continuously saying and declaring that this was God's day and that He was so welcomed. It was so tender....not a dry in the room. JUST PURE CELEBRATION FOR GOD'S PROVISION. That is how my wedding will be. I want it to be about HIM. I want to sing to Him and I want to guest to understand that by the time they are watching me get married that they are watching a miracle take place......an abundant of prayers being answered! Oh it was just wonderful everyone. The way a wedding was meant to be played out....to give GOD ALL THE GLORY!

dad.........aka........my secret service protector. hahahha
We then headed from the church to the Houston Club downtown where we enjoyed a wonderful cocktails hour and then a nice sit down lunch.....and wonderful music. And Bill, her dad, welcomed everyone at the beginning and said the sweetest words about the new husband and wife. I cried AGAIN!

Christmas card pic...and yes i have on the red dress again......i'm in love ok. leave me alone ha ok, great idea............if you are getting married soon.........Holly's aunt had the idea of seating all the kids at one table and covering it with crafts and snacks and coloring sheets! it was such a great idea. They were even served different food. THEY LOVED IT!!!!!! Art projects for kids at a wedding reception.....MY KIND OF THING!!!!!!!
everyone received galveston sand and shells in a little bottle because the wedding was supposed to be there....that is before the hurricane came and blew ole Galveston away.
back to hotel to rest hahahaha
Then headed sat night over to my dad's cousin's house for lots of chatting and great food. She has a great house with lots of color on the walls!!
