GIVEAWAY
CAROLINE'S PAINTING GIVEAWAYThis is me with the tote the day I received it!!!!!! I was sooooo excited!!!!!
THANK YOU FAITH!!!!!!!
So.....I have decided to pay it forward and give away one of my paintings. Now, painting is very very personal to me so I want to explain what the painting is about and what it means to me. I do not normally paint these kinds of scenes, however, I have fallen in love with a children's author and illustrator....Tomie dePaola..... that was the inspiration for this painting. He had created a picture much the same but I changed it to fit my painting style. I just see it in a child's room, or kitchen, laundry room hahahahhahaha. where ever! Ha!

The Parable of the Mustard Seed

Luke 18:18-19 He said therefore, "What is the kingdom of God like, and what can I compare it to? It's like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the sky nested in its branches."
Luke 17:6 "He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you".
What I love so much about this parable is that Faith starts so small. One small decision to trust Christ grows and develops into a deep relationship that produces so much good for His Glory. I also love this parable because Jesus states that if we even have the tiny, tiny amount of Faith in God then that can MOVE MOUNTAINS! It just takes a little faith. This painting is so appropriate for many of our lives. Issues, challenges, answered prayers, and longing are all around us but Jesus says..."child, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!" Put your faith in me.........even if it is just a little. I will take that and grow you in this area to the point that your FAITH IS OVERFLOWING!"
This painting is such a tangible reminder of how much He loves us. A tangible reminder that we don't always get to jump from a prayer prayed to the answer immediately. Sometimes.....most times...like the mustard tree above.....we have to grow before we receive. But the growth is what gives us life and GREAT JOY! PRAISE YOU!
So, that is the story of this painting. If you would like to leave me a comment with your name and state and it would be greatly appreciated. I am praying that this painting........which is really nothing exciting.....lands in the hands of somebody that needs to be ministered too. That this painting reminds them of where they have been or what they are pressing on too or what they desire to come to pass. Whether this is for your own use of for someone that is not a reader....leave me your name and maybe even their name so that I can pray for them.
Thank you! Love you so much! And I am grateful that many of you take time to stop by and see me on this blog. Happy Thanksgiving! love you!
