weekend rap-up on Wed....

so on sat my parents came into town as well as the brister's and the whole Austin College football team. They were playing SAGU....southwestern assembly of God univ....a small private college here in Waxahachie. Well, Eddie Brister is the Defensive Coordinator at Austin College and life long friends of ours and even coached with dad at SFA and one other school! They are like family really/ Anyway, mom and dad show up and i open the door....in my pink robe....and greet them. They then turn and get some things out of the car and I leave the door open and look in the kitchen................................................. and see a BIG FAT FAT FAT RAT ON MY FRESHLY CLEANED KITCHEN FLOORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!of course, the thing was so big.....like a small child really...ok not really....but it was def the daddy rat. I SCREAM MY HEAD OFF AND TRY TO FIND THE WORDS TO EXPLAIN WHAT IT IS TO M AND D OUTSIDE!!!!!!!

mom panics...of course hahahahhhahha.....dad says grab something to make sure it doesn't get into the rest of the house........he also grabs the new shovel that he bought me.......to make a long and hillarious story short.......dad looked like this...

and this...........................
and at some point he had to kick the thing and it tinkled everywhere do to shock!!!!! ........on my clean floors uuuuugggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Needless to say, Dad saved the day....AGAIN....and the women were sooooooo grateful.

In the words of my dad...."I'm a Dad......that's my job." OH HE IS SUCH A GOOD DAD!!!! WE LOVE YOU DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the drama we headed to the Waxahachie High school field.....sagu doesn't have a stadium...sad, to say Hi to the team, Eddie and steall Roberta (his wife) away for an early birthday dinner!!!!!!
mom and roberta

there is this little place on the square with home cookin and they serve you homemade bread....oh yes and REAL BUTTER!!!!!! PRAISE JESUS!!!!!

then we headed to the game....my first of this season.......mom looking cute..as always!!!!

us sweating to death...well mom "glissening"....and yes my blue dress did start to change to a deep blue....sadness

running out
This is one of my favorite pics of the evening. this player was out just a little further from the rest. My dad said his heart still beats fast during the National Anthem with anticipation of the game starting.....once a coach, always a coach!
I love picking my dad's head during a game. For my whole life he was on the field and I would have to ask questions later. Now I can be like..."why did they do that, or what play will they call next". And then he would give me the run down of options the coach has in a close situation...IT IS SOOOOOOOOO FUN FOR ME TO HAVE A FOOTBALL GENIUS MIND NEXT TO ME HAHAHAHHHA!!!
dad watching the warm up
that intense look reminded me of his on field looks back in the day....

here are the boys down and read

We had a great time!!!! This is my parents and the Brister's

They lost....by 2 points..ohhhhhhh that always hurts you...ALWAYS.

It was a perfect Saturday night! Then I got sick....but the good news is that I feel much better today!!!!!!! I head to my parents this weekend to celebrate my sisters 29 birthday....WHAT....WHEN DID WE START GETTING OLDER!!!!!!! CRAZY THAT SHE WILL BE 29! That will be fun fun!!!!

I also wanted to update you on the church search. FBC here has really been pursuing me and I am so grateful. 2 nights ago they even came by with cookies. They have asked me to join the choir and ladies bible studies. I like them........the preaching...not so much. But I am going to keep visiting there because He keeps opening up opportunities to serve. We shall see! I also have some heart things to share with you concerning my dealing with mental illness inside my classroom this year. Our God is so good and I will have to write about how He has just flooded me with "special student situations" this year and has so amazingly given me favor with them! Praise HIM! I will save that for another time! But let me just say this........O HOW HE LOVES YOU AND ME! ALL THE SAME....... and one day we will all be together, in HEAVEN, with perfect minds and perfect bodies...no more limitations due to disabilities! PRAISE HIM!!!!
I can't wait!
Have a wonderful wed night! I love you dearly!!!!!
