Dixie's BIrthday weekend part 1...........
I'm home and i feel like this............
PURE HAPPINESS to be at Mom and Dad's!!!!

Yesterday, after school, I jumped in the car and put on my Beth Moore cd and drove to my parents house. Now, I have not been home since the second week...maybe the third week of June. Why???????? well, remember how I came home from a wonderful week in Arkansas and my parents house had flooded due to the water pipe explosion to the fridge. yeah, so they spent their whole summer moving everything out of the house.......getting all new wood floors, carpet, baseboards, paint, new master bedroom furniture, new cabinets......and so on. They had their hands full and i was moving as well.
SOOOOOOOO we are all here now to celebrate Dixie's 29th birthday...Hughes Style.......aka food, fun, music.......you know the drill!
Dixie's cookie cake yum yum!!!!!! Actually we haven't even had presents yet because tonight will be the official party....but the Hughes' can't let dessert just sit there.......WE MUST EAT IT!!!!!!!
Last night we headed to the Denton square to walk around and enjoy some pre-Ike weather! We ended up eating at a little mom and pop restaurant and had such a good time just telling stories!
We are a drive around and back porch kind of family! We love just driving around looking at things...or houses...our favorite...then getting on the porch to rock. So on the way home last night dad took the long way home and we got to enjoy the most beautiful sunset!!!! When we got home it was really dark so mom brought out 2 candles and we just rocked and rocked in the candle light, talking about everything from updates on people to the bible. My favorite thing is listening to my dad talk about what he is doing for his Sunday school lessons and what everyone is learning in their own bible studies. Fun Fun!!!!
This morning I woke up to my dad cooking some yummy sausage and biscuits and my mom making food for tonight! The wind was already crazy outside but at 4.27 pm we still have not received that bad of rain......YET! PTL! This is a random picture of my mom's potato plants.......i really want these at my house....thought i would just share this ha! Aren't the colors amazing!!!
Dad at his computer playing all these songs that he has written and now also composed!!!!! He is composing this Irish jig song that is soooooo awesome....
another random thing that i know you don't care to know.....but i will share anyway..hahahaha.........I LOVE LOVE LOVE A PERFECT PEN!!!! I am always looking for a dark/thick black ink pen and my dad let me use this one during my quiet time.......it rocks my world!!!!!
This afternoon...right before the rain hit....mom, dixie and i headed to the Sanger square for the "Sanger celebration".......this is us glad to get out of the house

Ha! Ok it is now 4.49 and the rain is just a coming!!!!!!!!!!! My dad is grilling out tonight...NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!! I am hoping to get a great pic of that hahahhaha! maybe him hanging on to a pole while his legs are up in the air due to high winds!!!! oh just kidding!
