Celebrating 40 Years of Marriage

This is the Geren family. Monte, Lynn (daughter), Marelia, Richie (son) and daughter in law

Richie and I were in the same grade and went to high school together. His dad was our Superintendent for awhile. When my dad left SFA, he took the job in Canton and he, dixie and I actually lived with them for about a month so we could start school. Mom was still back in Nac finishing up teaching. I of course, loved living with a brother like friend. I was boy crazy and having his friends over was always a blast for me. We ended up building a house caddy corner from their house! FUN TIMES!!!!!

and they have this stuff that they pour olive oil over....then you dip your bread...garlic and stuff....it was AMAZING but our breath was OUT OF THIS WORLD CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! but we were happy as could be!
and the guys.........
it was such a fun night. we talked about how at the end of life there are the core people that really know you and love you...trust you the most. Many of them were all in that room. Coaching is not an easy job. Like most jobs or not......there is a lot of politics, feelings, backstabbing, using..........that can go on. They either love you cause your the coaches daughter or wife or the coach,,,,,or they hate you because your the coaches daughter or wife or coach. It tends to make you have a thick skin and your family is forced to have a thick skin. There have been times when there weren't people around that these coaches and their wives could trust...but they had each other. That bond of friendship is so beautiful to me! Life is real, it hurts, not all adult are good, we don't always make great decisions......but it is your core people that weather the storms with you. That take the hits with you and encourage you to continue. I am so thankful that my parents had these coaching families around! It has created such an unbreakable bond!
Happy 4oth Anniversary
Monte and Marelia!!!!!
We Love YOU!!!!!!!
