Family Weekend!!!!!!. long.....lots of pics...i know i know....sorry

I had a great thurs-sat afternoon with my parents and sister Dixie!!!!! It was such a treat for me to plan the weekend and the food line up!!! My mom always makes amazing food and my dad is totally the grill king.......so I really wanted to be able to impress.....hahahahhaha......so i searched all week on the blogs and website for recipes and treats!!!!!!! I have discovered that I am so visual in my learning that I will not even give a recipe a chance if there is no picture........is that not the rudest thing!!!!!!!!!!! I will try and be better!!!!!!!!!!!

So everyone showed up around lunch time and I had made Kelly and her mom's bunco buns!!!!!!!!! THEY WERE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD PEOPLE!!!!! YUM YUM YUM AND A TOTAL HIT!!!!!!!! You can so make them ahead and then pull them out when the time comes!!!!! It was fun to have my first full kitchen table time with the fam! I just love our table chat!!!!!!!!!!

Then we opened presents......mainly because my precious parents bought me 2 sets of stainless because I was down to 2 FORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i had a big fat meal planned for that night!!!! YICKS!!!! ISN'T THAT CRAZY!!!!! As my dad explains, i have all the "house decor" stuff but don't ask me for foil or a sifter...things like that.....cause I totally don't have them!!!!!!! HA

Dixie and George gave me a wonderful passport travel kit for all my world traveling!!!!!!! I will get to use it at christmas to see LG....Lord willing!!!!!! I also got my every first HOME DEPOT GIFT CARD!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooooooooo going and buying a blower and shovel!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!! THANKS YALL!!!!!!!

Dad headed to Lowe's to get me some new rock for the side of my driveway, some wedge things for my table and YES>>>>>THE "S" TOOL TO FIX MY DISPOSAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HERE HE IS BEING SO CUTE AND WORKING SO HARD!!!!!!!!!!

AND.........HE FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAN OF THE YEAR I SAY.........WAY TO GO DAD!!!!

PS.....this pic is funny to me because the whole time he was on the floor and would say "ok turn it on".......it didn't work because i was pushing the wrong button....OPPS!!!!! ahahaha

Then it was time for dinner. I got the Paula Deen Shimp Scampi recipe from Sunni's blog that is soooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing. 2 pounds of shrimp, 3 sticks of REAL BUTTER, EVEN VELVETA>>>>>>>> oh yall it is to die for! Serve with salad and crusty bread.....to soak up all the goodness left of the plate!!!!!!!!!......mom posing with the carrot hahahahahah

Just minutes out of the oven. I did not have that pretty baking dish like Sunni but the clear Pyrex dish will do.!!!!!!!!! I was so proud that it tasted good!!!!!!!

NEW DISCOVERY........I LOVE COOKING FOR PEOPLE!!!!!!!
On Saturday we got up and headed to town to shop on the square....on the way there we saw an estate sale going on and just had to stop!!!! The house was actually one that my Realtor had shown me....built in the 1890's.......still had original wallpaper and the upstairs floor had holes looking into the parlor.............NO THANKS I TOLD HER!!!!!!!...........and that was not even because the house was straight up scary with the millions of dolls everywhere...........yikes. SO here are some pics of the craziness.......look at the dolls because some are really really old!

I am still wanting my parents and sister to move here!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't that be the greatest!!!!!! Amy came down that evening and we headed to our new favorite place...the catfish plantation!!!!!

Sat morning we went to the farmer's market and did a little more looking around then mom and dad headed out! Dixie then treated me to see "MOMMA MIA" and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET ME TO GREECE ASAP SOMEBODY,,,,,,HELP A GIRL OUT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday Amy came back into town to go with me to church since i am still in the middle of trying to find one! She then treated me to lunch and it was so fun! AMY THANK YOU FOR COMING TO SEE ME TWICE THIS WEEKEND!@!!!!!!!! YOu are such a good friend, there is no one like you!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

LAURA, girl i haven't celebrated a birthday without you in years!!!!!!! thank you for calling me from far off lands...........it was such a joy to laugh with you! I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU!!!!!!

DAD, MOM, DIXIE..................... thank you sooooooooooooooo much for coming to stay with me!!!!!!!! Having this house full at night when i laid down mmmmmmmmmmmmmm brought just the sweetest joy to my soul!!!!!! I love you so much!
