Chili + Chocolate = A very good start to the Football Season!!!

Today, I woke up and cleaned the entire house all morning long! DEEP CLEAN!!!!! I got some things organized and washed clothes........and of course I am now putting off folding them, uuuugggghhhh that is such a flaw of mine. I will wash them but i hate, HATE folding clothes!!!!!!! So, in order to avoid doing it I headed to Wal-Mart because I was in need of some good fall/football food!
I love football season. Why? well my dad has been a Head Football Coach and Athletic Director my entire life.....minus the years he was a defensive coordinator at the college level. 30 years he did it! Football is what put me through college and gave me spending money and food on the table! I love everything about fall sports. But I am starting my second football season without a team that my dad is in charge of. Of course, He loves being retired. But every Friday night of my entire life......in the fall.......was football. Sure I like college games but I love cheering on my dad and his team! It was always neat to me that I got to see my dad's job in action. Kind of like having a dad that is a preacher. They work all week and then you get to see the product of that at the end of each week! It just isn't the same any more. I like having that personal connection with a team! I like knowing his players and their families...the coaches and their families. Anyway, blah blah blah.............i decided that I would make my mom's amazing homemade chili today for dinner and then freeze most of it for big Saturday games!!!!!!!!!!!...that's right, i said chili....and yes, I realize it is like 1000 degrees outside!!!!!!!!!!
yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

HERE IS MY CHILI SET UP BEFORE THE ALABAMA/CLEM GAME!!!!!!!!!
So, I was going to take a really cute picture of me taking my first bite of chili..........however as I put a big spoon full in and pushed the button.........I became completely and instantly aware that the temperature was like a million degrees hot!!!!!!!!!
I felt like this.....
hahahhaha Oh i almost forgot. you know us women, after a some what emotional week, a good chocolate something always hits the spot! So i decided that I would make my mom's Toll House Pie but added way more chocolate chips and instead of walnuts......I WOULD ADD PECANS AND MAKE IT LIKE THE PIE AMY AND I ATE LAST SAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
