Birthday, flats, and travel
Yesterday was my dad's 54th birthday!!!!! So because it was his big day...he got to do what he wanted. So I met them in Denton so that we could go see the new Indiana Jones movie and then early dinner at Chili's!!! I will have to be honest and say that it was great but not my favorite! Defently the first 3 are better and the temple of doom is like my ALL TIME FAV!!!!!!!! and since I am not one to be shy with my compliments.........Dr. Jones is such a stud muffin!!!!!!
mom and dad is the movie theater. They are finally getting used to the blog photo op ahahahahhahahaah. this pic below is after enduring hurricane like winds! It is crazy in Texas right now. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING CRAZY WIND? The wind is so hard and strong that when you are at a stop light your car shakes back and worth BIG TIME!!!!Funny thing is that my mom's hair kept going into a new "do" every time the wind hit it....and it still looked good! mine, not so much

I called the parents of course!!!!! Mom and I had the idea that we would be MacGyver and stick some chewed gum on the hole and then duck tape!!! it sounds good at the time. 
Now, I was not upset because I have changed my share of tires! Hard to believe, I know! But I was the girl that went to college two hours away and had to drive through Dallas.......WITHOUT A CELL PHONE! i did not get one till I was about to be a junior in college!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! seems crazy right. But anyone that knows me understands that I appreciate technology..i do...but i am hardly impressed by it. Just not my thing. Anyway, I had a lot of flats with my other car and there I would be on a busy interstate, in a dress, changing the stupid thing!!!! When it was all done and I was back in the car....then I would cry hahahhahahhaaa. I had every intention of just putting my donut thing on last night. But decided to ask the house next door...which is in the middle of being remolded...if they had an air pump. I walk over to the garage and YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE WORK GUYS WERE DOING AT 9 PM................THEY WERE TOTALLY SMOKING MARIJUANA!!!!!! i looked them straight in the eye, with my hands on my hips, and was like you have got to be kidding me! obviously they could not help me......they were not even on planet earth! CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY!!!! THE BEST NEWS LAST NIGHT IS THAT MY TRAILBLAZER HAS ROAD SIDE WHATEVER, so I CALLED. THE NICEST MAN CAME OVER ABOUT 9.30 and changed it in record time. I took his picture hahahahhahah. He had one of those cool things that the nascar guys use to take the tires off fast!!! I think i want one. he let me try it!!! FUn Fun!

ok I am talking a lot but the best news of the day is that I received my call yesterday that they approved me to take 7 high school students to.........
TOKYO, JAPAN!
I am soooooooo excited. I am going with iwitness ministries. We will do 5 minute english, prayer walking, and most importantly..friendship building so we can share the word. AC, a long time friend of mine, works for them and that is how I heard about the trip. This has all just happened since sunday! Amy and Laura have both been on trips with them! I am soooooo excited.....did I already say that. Anyway, I have never taken a trip with them nor have I ever been a leader of a trip overseas.
We will be gone July 2-18.
I am telling you this now because
a. this is soooooooo out of my comfort box. Yes I love to travel to countries. Yes I teach h.s. kids but to take them across the world.......no thanks.
b. I have never been to Japan and I have no prior experience with their culture. If I am leading something, then I like to have some experience or at least some info on what to expect......i have none right now!
c. there will be M's that are there and others that will help me know what to do, but I still am totally responsible........and i don't want to lose someone!
I AM TOTALLY NOT EQUIPPED TO LEAD THIS TRIP FRIENDS. I AM FULLY AWARE OF THAT. I DON'T HAVE A CLUE! BUT I KNOW THAT MY GOD WILL SUPPLY ALL MY NEEDS, ALL OF THEM! For He will not ask something of me without supplying the resources to do it! Right now I am overwhelmed by his humor! I think he gets a kick out of us going "Oh Father, this is crazy......BUT I AM SO NOT MISSING THIS". The words my pastor said a couple of weeks ago are still with me......"you will either retreat in fear or step forward in faith". Ok so I am stepping out saying Father have favor on me and the students. Make this trip successful for your GLORY!!! God is up to something and girls I would not miss this ride for anything. I could not ever plan an adventurous life like he can! Please, Please, Please pray for me and this students. I meet them on Sunday and I am nervous. Pray that in this next month before we go, that God would give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that I can't possibly have without him!!!
