The Gingerbread City
So about 6ish months ago I arrived in a charming town, thanks to Amy, called Waxahachie. It was one of those experiences where I felt at home almost the minute we entered the city limits. Like this was a special town just for me!. Sounds cheesy but I felt like it fit my personality in every way. I am in love girls...in love with this town. This is the sign that welcomes you in........
I feel so drawn to this town that I have even taken a whole day off from work to drive around the whole town and spent several hours in the old park/cemetery praying and reading scripture out loud, one sat i made my parents come down and go with me...hoping they would move here, 2 Saturdays ago i went again, and this past Saturday......I went again!!!!!
At this point I am like "OK I AM HERE LORD.....WHAT ARE YOU TELLING ME, WHAT AM I NOT SEEING THAT YOU NEED ME TO SEE".

THERE ARE SO MANY "GINGERBREAD" HOMES!!!!! THIS TOWN FEELS LIKE YOU ARE GOING BACK IN TIME....EXCEPT JUST A FEW MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD YOU SEE A GREAT TARGET, STARBUCKS, WALMART, BELKS.......IT IS AMAZING TO ME! I could have the charm of a old small town with all the big town shopping!
So, the news is that on Saturday I called a Realtor and starting look for a house to buy!!!!!!! I also started looking for a new job and called 2 churches to ask about their women's ministry and singles department!!!!!!!! I am looking for an old house that doesn't need much work.......if that is possible
ok this next one was built in 1920 and is on Main St. Main is the major street leading to the square and this house is right in all the action!!!!! Tea room, shopping, and church....all in walking distance!!!!! When I was looking at it, there were people out and about on the side walk and kids riding their bikes and people walking home from shopping on the square....hhhhhhmmmmmmmm girls i really need to live here!!!!!!!
this is what i am praying about......
1. clear vision and conformation that this is in His will!!!!
2. job in the same town.....i like to live and work in the same city
3. home that Father has chosen just for me
4. trust that while buying my first home....he will be with me every step of the way!!!!
Just wanted to share with you the excitement in my heart! Now, I need you know to that I am a waiter......I am not one to make the move like this without Him telling me to do so. I prayed about what car to buy for over a year before I was given the go. If this door closes smack in my face....i will be fine with it! But I am totally still excited.

Do I want to move? Well, I have moved around my whole life (coaches daughter) so I love the newness of it all. I like the challenge, I like the adventure of a new people, and I really like the feeling of being totally in God's will. I like where I am now. I am happy right where I am now! But should God call me to leave my church, school, and comfort.........I AM ALL OVER IT!!!! HE HAS THIS PLACE ON MY HEART AND TILL I KNOW WHY...I AM JUST PRAYING LIKE CRAZY!!!!!

But her original wood floors make my heart sing!!!!!!
