Painting in Mineola, Tx
Girls, I am on spring break this week!
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!
I AM IN NEED OF A BREAK!!!
I do not have a computer at my house, so my post this week will be few! Sorry for that and I hate it because I feel far behind when I am not reading some of your post daily!!!!!!!!

My suv packed with so many supplies! I LOVE ART
This tree was at the back of the lot. I could not get enough of it. It was massive and oh so old!!! I have a love thang with trees. I just love the movement the branches create and the life that come from them.

I decided to start with the tulips. The ones toward the back had been in bloom for awhile and their colors were growing in a dark, rich red color. I was instantly in love.

This was my little set up. I painted most of the day with my easel on the gound so that I could sit. I must tell you that I got the worst/strange sunburn. My back was to the sun so only my hands and a little part of my arms burned. My upper knee and thighs.........and the back of one leg. I looked crazy girls!!!!!!!!!

The ground was a little damp but I spent most of the day walking around without my flips on. I love the feel of the cool dirt and grass. I had my ear things in for awhile...blasting some serious praise and worship. I could not help but PRAISE HIM in the middle of the flowers. I was there, in part, wanting to understand God's theme with me lately about Waiting, Sowing the Seeds, Time, and Reaping with songs of joy. Being around all these bulbs......that take time to grow and produce such beautiful results......speak wonders to me about My God that is constantly in pursuit to make me more like his son! If the end result is a beautiful "something...anything" then Father I will endure this time of waiting, this time of sowing in tears, this time of carrying your seed to sow.......knowing that you will bring forth a great harvest and songs of joy! I love mowing your grass father! What else do you have for me to do? I will do it!!!!!!

Saturday I headed to Mineola, Tx to do some painting. I use to live in little Mineola years ago when my dad took his very first head football/athletic director job!!!!! We still have dear friends that live there. So, on saturday I loaded up my trailblazer and headed an hour and 20 minutes east to the country! The drive was amazing! I had my audio of Stepping Up playing there and back. The sun was out and not a cloud in the sky. I painted in the fields of a bulb grower. The flowers were beautiful and my eyes jumping around so much, desperatly wanting to paint it all.

"When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion,
we were like men who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
"The LORD has done great things for them."
The LORD has done great things for us,
The LORD has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
Restore our fortunes, O LORD,
Restore our fortunes, O LORD,
like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.
He who goes out weeping,
Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.
He who goes out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him".
Psalm 126
