Mentor's are a MUST HAVE

CAN I JUST BE TOTALLY HONEST WITH YOU THIS MORNING...
I AM NEEDING TO TALK....
AND SAY THAT WITHOUT GOD FILLING ME UP
BY THE POWER OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT
EACH DAY....I AM A TOTAL MESS!

Anyone that has been walking with Father long enough has the great joy of seeing him transform us into his son's image. I am a mouth really and "were there are many words there is much folly". I lost my cool on Monday...with a group of students I babysat... and I have been convicted ever since. I have been called to be "SET APART”...looking and acting different than those of the world. James 3 spends a lot of time talking about taming the tongue.........verse 9 "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness". I want my mouth to bring praise and glory to him only!!!!!! I want him to change my tongue totally and I want to be controlled totally by him! Yes I understand that I am going to blow it here and there but I don't want to you know. So all that to say that I have an amazing mentor! Jana entered my life 4 years ago when I took the art job at my school. We are 2 doors down from each other. She is amazing. She reminds me so much of my mother that our bond was almost instant. I love having women in my life that have all the years and experience with Father. When I have my moments of “blowing it” and I take care of the business…asking for forgiveness from Father, then the person, then I confess it to Jana. I need her here for accountability! I am a person that has to deal with things right a way and then move on. I can’t stand sitting and chewing on an issue. So I want you all to know that Jana is the kind of Believer that when you are sharing something with her she says…”Well, lets pray about it right now.” I love that!!!!!! I shared with her after school yesterday about my crazy moment and she prayed for me. Then she sent me this verse….

“Live a life filled with love for others, following the example of Christ, who loved you and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins. And God was pleased, because that sacrifice was like sweet perfume to him…For this LIGHT within you produces only what is good and right and true.” Ephesians 5:2, 9

AMEN AMEN!!!!!! FATHER FORGIVE ME FORNOT BEING SLOW TO SPEAK AND SLOW TO LISTEN BUT RESPONDING FAST OUT OF MY FLESH. Thank you that you place people in our lives that speak truth to us. People that call us out on our crap and aren’t afraid to hurt our feelings. Thank you that you give us women to help guide us along our walk with you. CHANGE EVERY AREA IN MY LIFE THAT DOES NOT BRING YOU GLORY. GET RID OF IT…ALL OF IT. I AM YOURS!!!!!
